185.997 Recognition of Autopsies as an Educational Tool:
Because autopsies are valuable, indicated, necessary and in the public interest, MSNNY take the position that autopsies be encouraged for use as an educational tool; that treating physicians be notified of their patients’ autopsy results; and trained in the communication skills necessary to effectively obtain autopsy consent.
